| | What is the remedial riding and equestrian- gymnastics? |
The remedial riding and equestrian- gymnastics is a part of the therapeutic riding.
This therapy can use the benefits of the riding for pedagogic-, developmental- and educative- goals. The children take care the horse, ride and learn the forms of the equestrian- gymnastics by the therapy. We can use all three types of the horse's walk with or without saddle and we can manage the activity as a play or do it in group too.
The fields of application of the remedial riding and equestrian- gymnastics: children with learning- disorder, sense- organ disorder, behaviour problems, segment- capability problems, and disabled, autist, hyperactive, mental handicapped (less- and middle serious mental handicapped) children.
The most important thing is the contact with the horse, the body- warmth of the animal and the rhythm of the horse's walk. These can help to switch off the inside and outside things what generate stress. The riding opens wide the world for the handicapped children. On the horseback they can sense the world in a different perspective. The new experiences give them self- confidence and help to express themselves. They tell their parents, mates and teachers their experiences gladly and proudly. |
